Four way articulation features of Borescopes make them highly flexible inspection devices for bent structures in pipes, canals, tanks and other civilian and industrial constructions. Using these devices you will be able to gauge the defects, their nature and intensity within large and narrow inspection areas. For the expert engineers the image display is also accompanied with options for text input and statistical data analysis. They combine together to create a decision support system for the repairs and maintenance works for the residential and industrial pipelines. The installation of control levers in the rotational knobs gives the ability to rotate through 360-degrees in all directions. In many of the devices the left and right articulation angle is as high as 120-degrees, while the field of view can go up to 90-degrees in every direction.
Borescopes Display Units
The construction of Borescopes is done in such a way that even the display units have an articulation factor for rotation. This feature makes it possible to get the view from any angle of elevation or declination with equal ease. The scope handle of the device is also rotatable to +/-90degrees. So you are able to singlehandedly carry the device along the length and breadth of the inspection areas.
Borescopes Probing Devices
The probing devices in the Borescopes are mainly made of the lens, braid and the probe. The probe itself has an articulation angle of 360-degree with 4-way directional articulation. Using the clamping units you can effectively fix the lens and the camera at a convenient angle for the further internal examinations of the inspection areas.
- Depth Coverage: – The coverage of depth by the probe includes the vertically downward direction within cylindrical, rectangular or square shaped tanks. They also include the depth to which the pipes are inserted into the subsoil layers. The standard Borescopes can cover up to 150-feet at one stretch. Of course it doesn’t mean you can’t take it down any further. The effectiveness of coverage in each slot is limited to this depth.
- Angular Rotation: – The articulation of Borescopes on the turning knobs gives 360-degree rotation in every direction including the reverse view. This is a feature accompanied by powerful LED lamps. They are able to concentrate their focus on specific area in the specific number of angular rotation.
- Enhanced FOV: – The field of view in the lens can go in increasing with improvement in focusing methods. The feature is also well supported by the application of smart devices with the lens. For example the rigid type of Borescopes use optical prism for image and video enhancement several times before it is passed onto the end point camera. The usage of LED also helps in increasing the field of view to certain extent.
- Probing Accuracy: – The accuracy of probing for eh standard Borescopes is stated to be more than 99.98%. This will help in getting sharp and crystal clear footings from the image and video coverage of the inspection area. These get enhanced further by the cameras to convert into bright photographs for analysis by the industry experts in real time.
